Reliably having enough (and not too much) quality water for human and ecosystem health, human wellbeing, livelihoods and development. Water security includes ensuring that water benefits humans and ecosystems and reducing water-related risks (including too much water, flooding; too little water, water scarcity; and unsafe water; water pollution and water-borne diseases).
