Definition
Predictable periodic variations during a year, such as in predictable changes in weather conditions or when certain ecological events happen (such as hedgehogs hibernating in winter). Seasonality can also refer to when foods (such as fruit and vegetables) are best eaten or more abundant during a certain time of year, such as ‘winter vegetables’. Climate change is impacting on predictability.
